Paul Stayback is licensed in the state of Washington as a clinical social worker. As an independent clinical social worker, Paul has experience working directly with youth and young adults in a multitude of settings, including working as a school therapist. Paul takes a client centered approach when working with his client’s and their families. Working in conjunction with clients and their loved ones to remove the barriers impeding a client’s life progress. Together as a team with families and his clients Paul is able to address the areas of concern. By taking a client centered approach, individuals can define what aspects of their life are impeding their progress and identify how their therapist can assist them to move forward in life. Working with clients without judgement, and acknowledging the realities they face in their lives, Paul builds a therapeutic support system from a cooperative approach to get clients where they feel they need to be.
Paul earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Central Washington University, and his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington. Paul’s experience includes a background in the medical field, working as a surgical technician and Army medic. From this experience Paul gained the knowledge of how trauma, anxiety, and depression, impacts an individuals’ life transitions. By skillfully working with a client from a cleint centered holistic approach Paul is able to identify an individual’s needs and provide them with the skills necessary to move beyond the negative issues keeping them from achieving their best selves.
