Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapist:
Cara Graham is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Child Mental Health Specialist, who has been practicing therapy in a variety of programs, schools, and clinics. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Boston College and a Bachelor Degree in Human Development and Psychology from Eckerd College in Florida. Cara has also completed certificate coursework and practice in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) for Children and Adolescents, Trauma-Focused CBT, CBT Skills Modification for High-Functioning Autism, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
Cara specializes in working with children and teens who are challenged with symptoms or diagnoses of anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, Autism and other neurodevelopmental and executive function difficulties, academic concerns, adjustment issues, and general distress. She has a true passion for helping others draw upon their own strengths, and develop the skills and support networks to reach the goals they have defined. Additionally, she strongly believes in the importance of collaborating with parents and caregivers, offering them a variety of tools and strategies to help strengthen their role as parents as well as the parent-child relationship.
Cara strives to deeply listen to each person and family’s unique needs and goals, treating each person holistically, compassionately, and without judgement. She will work with you to assess challenges and strengths, develop a plan for therapy, and monitor progress.
Washington State Approved Clinical Supervisor:
In addition to providing therapy, Cara Graham is a Washington State Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Whether you are needing to accumulate supervision hours towards your clinical state license, wanting specific supervision focused on your clinical work with children, teens, traumatic stress, using CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, or a reflective-supervisory approach to your practice as an experienced clinician, she will set aside time to support your professional and clinical development. Cara is a strong believer in the parallel process of helping the healer develop the resiliencies, compassionate drive, and self-reflection to be present with and
provide meaningful support to their clients.
